ADDCN lobbying and advocating for legislative and explicit constitutional provisions for democratic, inclusive, participatory, accountable and transparent local governance system

ADDCN delivering services to member DDCs to enhance their capacities to improve effective implementation of DDC plans and policies in a democratic, inclusive, participatory, transparent and responsive manner

Interests of local bodies represented and policy influenced at the national and sub-national level
  • Participation in various national level forums/meetings, seminars (such as NPC, MLD, LBFC, PAF)
  • 4 national and 5 sub-national level workshops/forums/meetings organized.
  • Participate in various national level forums / meetings, seminars
  • Provide training to 6 staff members(modified)
  • Retain ADDCN’s membership in UCLG-ASPAC
Output 2    

Ability of local bodies to provide appropriate, responsive and timely services in a democratic, inclusive, participatory, accountable, transparent manner increased
  • DDC officials trained in planning processes in 10 districts (Modified and changed into other regular activities)
  • DDC officials oriented/trained in financial, information management and transparency/accountability systems and tools in 40 districts (Modified)
  • Carryout orientation to implement information manual in 7 districts(modified)
  • Carry out orientation in transparency and accountability in 23 districts (modified)
  • Conduct internal auditors training to 20 participants

B. Activities under Ministry of Local Development Support (July 2007 to July 2008)

  • Organize National Level Interaction Program on Role and Responsibilities of Local Governments in the context of Restructuring of State
  • Prepare Model Guideline on Public Hearing for Member DDCs
  • Provide financial training to Internal Auditors of Member DDCs

C. Activities under Ministry of Local Development Support (July 2007 to July 2008)
